Productive. That is what Iowa Valley’s Caleb Haack, HLV-TC’s Peyton Roth and Montezuma’s Brady Boulton were for their teams this season.
They have been named to the South Iowa Cedar League all-conference first team.
Haack, a senior, finished third in the conference in points, second in rebounds and first in blocks — by almost 100.
Roth crossed the 1,000-point mark late in the season for the Warriors and finished his senior year averaging 20.7 points per game.
Boulton, one of the top scorers in all the state, will look to lead the Braves to a district final win tonight.
Three more area players received second-team honors — Montezuma’s Kohen Holland, Iowa Valley’s Cole Long and Belle Plaine’s Sam DeMeulenaere.
Long, only a sophomore, emerged as a number two option this year for the Tigers who had their best season in three years.
DeMeulenaere led the Plainsmen in scoring (19.8) and was an all-around contributor.
Each team also had two honorable mentions.
