Hamerlinck makes podium in 100-yard backstroke
Raiders place sixth out of seven teams

BOONE — The Raiders’ swim team scored 152 total points for a sixth-place finish as the postseason began Saturday in Boone at the North Central Conference meet.
The team’s top performer was senior Nolan Hamerlinck who earned a podium finish in the 100-yard backstroke.
Hamerlinck placed third with a time of 59.02.
Hamerlinck added a fourth-place finish In the 100 butterfly.
Tyler Patrick rounded up two top-10 finishes, placing eighth in the 200 individual medley and ninth in the 100 backstroke.
Other top-10 finishes included Calvin Monohon, placing seventh in the 500 freestyle, and Tyler Warren, eighth in the 100 butterfly.
Up next for the Raiders is Districts Saturday at Johnston.
