Harris receives Saint Elizabeth Week award
WAVERLY — Macy Harris, of Grinnell, was honored for her commitment to service as part of Wartburg College's annual Saint Elizabeth Week celebration.
The Saint Elizabeth Award for Service recognizes students who exemplify a commitment to service and desire to live a life that embodies the Wartburg mission, the college said in a press release this week.
Harris was nominated for her work through The Residence service-learning suite, volunteering at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and visiting Bartels, where she spends time with the residents.
Wartburg College, a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, enrolls about 1,500 students.
