Harris’ responses leave us unsure
Iowa County Republicans
Sep. 15, 2024 2:16 pm
No doubt many of you watched the debate last week. Kamala [Harris] did a great presentation, as she should have, being a lawyer and [district attorney], but by the time she finished her responses, we were unsure of her plans in many areas.
She did outline a couple: $25,000 given to first-time homebuyers, $6,000 tax credits for first time parents, money given to build small businesses and government to pay for transgender surgery.
There were 22 questions in the debate. It was reported by one news media that Trump answered 75% of the questions while Kamala answered only 18%.
Trump was fact checked on an abortion issue, and he was correct, while the panel was wrong.
He said that the Democrats were for abortions up to birth, and if a baby was born alive, they would just put it aside until it died. In Minnesota where her vice president elect Walz is governor, they had five such abortions in 2021.
At present there are five states that still say at birth.
[Harris] also invited everyone to attend or watch one of Trump’s rallies as she says many people leave early out of boredom, which is not true, and there are many empty seats.
Many of us watch his rallies and have not noticed people leaving or empty seats.
She also said that they inherited a bad economy. Lots of businesses were closed because of COVID.
Biden took credit for the businesses opening up again when actually they were the same ones that closed when COVID hit.
When they were looting in Minnesota after George Floyd was killed, [Harris] was there supporting Black Lives Matter.
Trump’s closing statement said it all — You have been in office for 3 ½ years to clean up the mess you are talking about. Why didn’t you do it?
