Helping farm families, small businesses

As I travel through my district, I’ve had so many Iowans tell me how excited they are about the One Big Beautiful Big getting signed into law.
And there’s no better place to talk about how this bill will support our farmers than at the Iowa State Fair, so I hope to see you out there.
By making permanent the 20% small business deduction and providing death tax relief for over two million family farms, families no longer have to bear these tax burdens and can keep their farms in the family for future generations.
This will help family farms and Main Street businesses thrive, which will help rural Iowa thrive.
On top of that, we are improving and strengthening the farm safety net, expanding critical ag trade programs to support our producers, and expanding access to crop insurance options.
We are finally going to reverse some of the damage done to the ag economy during the failed Biden years. This bill will lift everyone up, especially our rural communities.
I was proud to fight to get this bill across the finish line and will continue working with President Trump to deliver for all Iowans.
I started out the week with a fantastic visit to Legacy Manufacturing with Sen. Joni Ernst to highlight a true Made in America success story.
The domestic production line for the signature Flexzilla Hose is already running with 40% of suppliers here in the U.S., and the entire product line will be 100% sourced and made in America by 2027.
Legacy is leading by example and proving that Made in America isn’t just a slogan — it’s the future.
Thank you to SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler for making the trip to Iowa to hear from our small business community and farmers. She traveled across the district with me and spent time hearing individual stories, concerns and accomplishments.
While the Biden Administration suffocated small businesses with burdensome red tape and taxes, President Trump and Administrator Loeffler are empowering them to thrive.
