Historical Society hosts lunch to end season

MONTEZUMA — The Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society will host a holiday meal at noon Thursday, Dec. 4.
The public is welcome and should bring a dish to share. Table service will be furnished.
The lunch will be in the lower level of the Carnegie research library building at 200 South Third Street in Montezuma.
The society maintains a museum complex with three buildings filled with memorabilia from all corners of Poweshiek County. Officials are excited for the public to see the new community room featuring displays from all the small towns in the county, they said in a press release this month.
The museum complex will close for winter after Dec. 4 and will reopen in April.
