HLV boys 4th in Keota

KEOTA — The HLV boys finished fourth at the Keota Invitational at Lagos Acres Golf Course April 10.

Keota won with a 325 score, seven up on PCM.

English Valleys tied HLV for fourth, Iowa Valley was sixth and Belle Plaine seventh.

Petyon Roth of HLV was meet medalist with a 73.

The HLV boys golf team topped Sigourney 163 to 167 April 9 at Sigourney Golf and Country Club. Peyton Roth shot low for the Warriors with a 37.

On the girls side, Sigourney won, 237 to 240.

Sigourney won a four-team boys meet April 8, at Lagos Acres Golf Course.

The Savages carded a 168 to top HLV (173), Keota (177) and Colfax-Mingo (192). Roth carded a 38 to pace HLV.

On Thursday, April 11, the HLV girls played in a triangular at Legos Acres in Keota. HLV shot 226, falling to Colfax-Mingo (221) and Sigourney (222).

English Valleys boys golf edged Lynnville-Sully 167 to 168 at Diamond Trail Golf Club April 8. On April 11, the Bears beat Lone Tree, 338 to 445, at Knoll Ridge Country Club.

The Bears only had three golfers, so could not post a team score.

On Friday, April 12, Des Moines Christian topped English Valleys 383 to 478. Lone Tree also participated.
