Robbie Allison wins playoff in West Delaware dual

All Monday area meets were canceled/postponed this week in golf due to weather, but the rest of the week’s competitions played as schedule.
Here is a look at a few highlights from this week in golf.
West Delaware dual
MANCHESTER — The Williamsburg girls won their season opening dual against West Delaware Tuesday at Pin Oak Pub & Links.
The Raiders won by 20 strokes with a team score of 191.
Rubianne Allison shot a team low 43, which finished runner-up.
West Delaware dual
WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg’s Robbie Allison took home the individual title in their boys golf dual against West Delaware Tuesday.
Allison and Griffin Lott each shot a 35 on the nine holes at Stone Creek Golf Club, forcing a playoff.
Allison won the sudden-death playoff with a birdie on hole nine.
West Delaware defeated the Raiders in the dual 147-150.
Iowa Valley triangular
MARENGO — The Iowa Valley golf teams opened their seasons Thursday with a home triangular at Marengo Golf Club.
The girls finished second of two scoring teams with a team score of 253 while the boys placed third with a score of 258.
Emma McCaw finished fifth on the girls’ side with a 56.
Dallas Sherman and Asher Stubblefield finished tied for 12th for the boys with a score of 56.
Montezuma triangular
MONTEZUMA — HLV-TC’s Peyton Roth debut his season with a win at the Montezuma Country Club Thursday, shooting a 36.
The Warriors posted the lowest team score in the triangular with a 174.
Lance Milton was third with a 45.
The Montezuma boys finished third, led by freshman Isaiah Wilson, who shot a 48.
On the girls’ side, HLV-TC placed second, shooting a 233.
The Warriors were led by Alycen Kempf, who shot a 56.
The Bravettes also finished third but had two top-three performances from Addilyn Ver Meer and Claire Erselius, who shot 52 and 53 respectively.
Sigourney-Belle Plaine dual
SIGOURNEY — The Sigourney boys defeated Belle Plaine head-to-head 157-249 Thursday at Sigourney Golf Club in a nine-hole dual.
Cooper Hoey led the Plainsmen with a 49.
The Plainsmen girls had two compete, with Jadie Dahlquist posting the lowest score with a 57.
