Hope Lodge showcases trees

BELLE PLAINE — The Wallace and Beverly Winkie Foundation’s Festival of Trees will showcase the decorating talents of area businesses, organizations and families in Belle Plaine this month.

Visitors to the festival can admire the creativity, bid on trees up for auction and use coins to vote for their favorite trees. They can purchase baked goods, win door prizes and enjoy free coffee and apple cider.

Admission is free.

The festival will take place at the Hope Lodge, 175—805 11th St. in Belle Plaine, from 2-7 p.m. Nov. 24 and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 25.

All proceeds from the event will be used for scholarships for nontraditional students. More information is available on the foundation’s website and Facebook page.
