The Hrabak’s were married Dec. 15, 1973 at St Michael's Catholic Church in Belle Plaine with the Rev. A.A. McAvoy and the Rev. George Gates officiating.
The groom is the son of Kenneth and Louise Hrabak, of Belle Plaine; the bride is the daughter of Tom and Martha Spillman, of Lamoni.

David and Jane owned and operated Hrabak Funeral Homes in Belle Plaine and Chelsea. David was a fourth-generation funeral director and worked part-time at Coast to Coast Hardware.
Jane was a pharmaceutical technician, and later applied her time toward the family business and played the piano and organ at many churches and for the local school.
The couple has three sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Amy, Cameron and Angie, Evan and Jodi; three grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
Light refreshments will be served during the celebration at St. Michael’s. The family asks that gifts be omitted, but cards may be sent to the couple at 1711 Seventh Ave., Belle Plaine, IA, 52208.
