I-80 shooting leaves one dead

WILLIAMSBURG -- A Friday night shooting at the Interstate 80 westbound on-ramp of exit 225 in rural Williamsburg left one dead, according to a press release from the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office received report of a shooting about 9 p.m. June 20. One person died and another has serious gunshot injuries, the release says.
Names and further details will be released Monday, June 23, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office is being assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Williamsburg Police Department, Iowa State Patrol and the State Medical Examiner.
