In Iowa County District Court

MARENGO — Timothy John Westphal, 40, of Deep River, was charged Nov. 6 in Iowa County District Court with driving while his license is denied, suspended, canceled or revoked.

Westphal was stopped by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department at 11:29 a.m. Nov. 5 at Main Street and West Broad Street.

Landon Sage Evans, 17, of Williamsburg, was charged Nov. 10 with failure to stop in an assured clear distance. Williamsburg police stopped Evans Nov. 9 at 1:34 p.m. on Iowa Highway 149 north.

Victoria Lynn Gonzalez, 40, of Ladora, was charged Nov. 12 with driving while her license is denied, suspended, canceled or revoked. Gonzalez was stopped by the Iowa State Patrol at 230th St. and G Avenue.

Alexis Alfredo Meza Castillo, 20, of Coralville, was charged Nov. 6 with possession of drug paraphernalia. The Iowa State Patrol stopped Meza Castillo Nov. 3 at 8:44 p.m. at mile marker 217 on Interstate 80 eastbound.

Meza Castillo pleaded not guilty. A non-jury trial is set for March 4 at 9:30 a.m.

At the same time, Meza Castillo was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, first offense.

Bryan Keith Huber, 58, of Marengo, was charged Nov. 7 in Iowa County District Court with failing to register as a sex offender.

Marcus Antonio Terrell Steele, 45, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, was charged Nov. 7 with eluding law enforcement. The Iowa State Patrol stopped Steele Nov. 7 shortly after midnight at mile marker 209 on Interstate 80 westbound.

Christina Lucille Elliott, 45, of Williamsburg, was charged Nov. 13 with domestic abuse, first offense. Elliott is accused of assaulting her daughter, Hailey Elliott on Bush Street about 7:30 a.m. Nov. 12.

Elliott was arrested Nov. 12. A no-contact order was issued Nov. 13.
