Jonathan Tolbert Crowder, 39, of Marengo was charged Nov. 20 in Iowa County District Court with driving while barred for being a habitual offender. Crowder was arrested by Marengo police Nov. 20 at 2:13 a.m. at 2187 Highway 6 Trail.
Richard Dean Moreno, 58, of Webster, was charged Nov. 26 with driving while barred. He was arrested by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department Nov. 25 at 2:46 a.m. at 280th Street and M Avenue.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department arrested Tait Eugene Emmert, 36, of Malcom Nov. 27 at 601 Sixth Street in Victor. He was charged Nov. 27 with reckless use of a firearm after causing property damage by discharging a firearm.
The Sheriff’s Department says Emmert was armed with a Ruger P95 DC 9mm.
Emmert was also charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence and with domestic abuse against his intimate partner, Jane Ellen Waline.
The court issued a no-contact order Nov. 28.
Chance James Griffith, 32, of Brooklyn, was charged Nov. 20 with criminal mischief in the second degree, a Class D felony. Griffith was charged after the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department investigated damage to a fire suppression system at 960 Franklyn Ave. at 10:35 a.m. Nov. 16.
Teri Ann Gorsh, 47, of Parnell was charged Nov. 27 with eluding, operating a vehicle while under the influence, second offense, and possession of a dangerous weapon in the 2800 block of 325th Street about 11:42 a.m. Nov. 27.
Court documents say that Gorsh was stopped for OWI by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, and deputies found a handgun in the passenger’s seat of the car, in reach of the driver.
The Kimber Royal II 45-caliber handgun, which had previously been reported stolen, was loaded with a magazine with seven rounds, according to court documents.
Gorsh was also charged with theft in the second degree. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department alleges that Gorsh took property belonging to Jared Dhondt about 9:45 a.m. Nov. 27 at 448 Hendricks St. in Parnell.
Epaphrodite Madiata Baka, 24, of Coralville, was charged Nov. 26 with driving without a valid license. He was arrested by the Iowa State Patrol at 4:19 p.m. Nov. 19 at mile marker 225 in the eastbound lane of Interstate 80.
Mary Ellen Newton, 41, of Ankeny, was charged Nov. 30 with driving without a valid license. The Iowa State Patrol stopped Newton at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 26 at mile marker 222 in the westbound lane of Interstate 80.
Clinton A. Anders, 46, of Plano, was charged with operating a bike, skateboard or other pedestrian conveyance on a roadway. He was stopped by the Iowa State Patrol at 9:20 a.m. Dec. 3 at the 223 mile marker on westbound Interstate 80.
Anders was also charged with public intoxication.
On Nov. 27, Olimpio G. Armenta, 70, of South English, was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence, first offense. Williamsburg police arrested Armenta at 3:56 p.m. Nov. 27 on Iowa Highway 149 in Williamsburg.
John Michael Selman, 25, of Omaha, Nebraska was charged Nov. 30 with operating a vehicle while under the influence. He was arrested by the Iowa State Patrol Nov. 29 at 11:05 p.m. on the 211 exit off westbound I-80.
Cristian Josue Hernandez-Leon, 19, of Des Moines, was charged Nov. 23 with possession of marijuana first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a no-contact order with Yadira Jemenez Hernandez. He was arrested by Marengo police Nov. 22 at 7:50 p.m. at 2205 Highway 6 Trail in Marengo.
Yadira Jemenez Hernandez, 31, of Ottumwa, was charged Nov. 23 with violation of a no contact order. Marengo police say Hernandez aided and abetted violation of a no-contact order about 6:25 p.m. Nov. 22.
Hernandez was also charged with domestic abuse.
