Vincent Charles Thede, 56, of Chelsea, was charged Sept. 13 with criminal mischief in the second degree, a Class D felony. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department alleges that at 11:16 a.m. Aug. 10, Thede damaged a doorway and siding to a building owned by Robert Lee Otte at 2109 Highway 6 Trail in Marengo. A warrant was served Sept. 17.
Jeffrey Wade Werner, 64, of Cedar Rapids, was charged Sept. 14 with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a Class D felony. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department arrested Werner about 12:03 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 300 block of M Avenue. Werner allegedly possessed methamphetamine.
Werner was also charged with driving while his licenses is denied, suspended canceled or revoked. Werner pleaded not guilty. A non-jury trial is set for Jan. 21, 2025
Steven Wilson Smith, 75, of Victor, was charged Sept. 11 with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor. Marengo police arrested Smith at 3:03 p.m. Sept. 11. Police say he was driving erratically, had the smell of alcohol on his breath and failed a sobriety test.
Thomas Ajshountez Jointer, 28, of Battle Creek Michigan, was arrested by the Iowa State Patrol at 11:42 Sept. 12 for possession of a controlled substance, second offense and for carrying a dangerous weapon while ineligible to do so. The State Patrol allege that Jointer possessed marijuana and a weapon when they stopped him on westbound I-80 at mile marker 213.
Jaycie Elaine Coffey, 20, of Victor, was charged Sept. 13 with driving while her license is denied or revoked. Coffey was arrested at 3:27 a.m. Sept. 13 at 230th and M Avenue by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department.
Orlandus Hill Jr., 44, of Paducah, Kentucky, was charged Sept. 16 with possession of a controlled substance second offense and for carrying a dangerous weapon while ineligible to do so. The Iowa State Patrol says that Hill was in possession of marijuana and a dangerous weapon when an officer stopped him at 1:23 a.m. Sept. 16 on an I-80 ramp at Iowa Highway 149 North.
Andrea Media Nebergall, 49, of Marengo, was charged Sept. 16 with domestic abuse. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department arrested Nebergall about 5:39 p.m. Sept. 16 at 1632 P Avenue for allegedly assaulting and causing bodily injury to Matthew John Burgy.
