MARENGO — Stacy Lee Phanhamath, 44, of Grinnell, was charged June 12 in Iowa County District Court with theft in the third degree.
In a report filed with the court, the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office says that about 2 p.m. May 30, Phanhamath took an Amazon package from a residence on Clinton Street.
Gregory Allen Wayson, 55, of Marengo, was charged June 8 with domestic abuse, impeding air flow, a Class D felony.
Wayson is accused of chocking his wife about 10:40 p.m. June 7, according to a court document filed by the Marengo Police Department. The report says the woman had visible marks on her throat and marks and bruises on her torso, neck, shoulder, stomach and back.
A no contact order was issued June 8 and extends to June 9, 2030. A firearm prohibition was issued June 11.
Wayson pleaded guilty to simple assault, a simple misdemeanor, received a seven-day suspended sentence and one year probation and was ordered to complete an Iowa Domestic Abuse Program.
Chaseton James Morgan, 33, of Camanche, was charged June 9 with driving while his license is denied, suspended, canceled or revoked.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department stopped Morgan at Iowa Highway 149 North and 290th Street about 7:35 a.m. June 6, according to a report filed with the court.
Corey DeWayne Jones, 40, of Cedar Rapids, was charged June 11 for driving while his license is denied, suspended, canceled or revoked.
The Iowa State Patrol stopped Jones about 8:15 p.m. June 8 at Interstate 80 west and the I-80 west ramp to Iowa Highway 149.
Dakota John Kruse, 29, of Marengo, was charged June 12 with driving while his license is denied, suspended, canceled or revoked. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department stopped Kruse June 8 at 5:20 p.m., according to a report filed with the court.
Autumn Leigh Morrow, 35, of Millersburg, was charged June 14 with driving while her license is denied, suspended, canceled or revoked. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department stopped Morrow at Howard Street and Oak Street about 2:34 p.m. June 13.
Landon David Wade, 43, of Homestead, was charged with failure to stop in assured clear distance. Williamsburg police cited Wade about 10:53 a.m. June 17 on Iowa Highway 149 north, according to a report filed with the court.
James Harlan York, 64, of Marengo, was charged June 8 with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
According to a report filed by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, York was stopped in the 2000 block of U.S. Highway 6 east June 8 about 12:47 a.m. after a deputy observed that he was unable to stay in his lane while driving.
York showed measurable impairment during a field sobriety test, according to the deputy’s report, and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.105%.
Adyson Dean Stark, 18, of Grinnell, was charged June 6, with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department stopped Stark about 9:47 p.m. June 5 at U.S. Highway 6 east west of P Avenue for having no license plates, according to a report filed with the court.
The deputy smelled marijuana and, during a search, found a marijuana pipe, a grinder, a bent fork with residue, two lighters and a vape that tested positive for marijuana.
Stark pleaded not guilty. A non-jury trial is set for Oct. 21 at 9:30 a.m.
Stark was also charged with possession of marijuana first offense, and using tobacco or vapor under the age of 21.
Joseph Daniel Winter, 30, of West Liberty, was charged June 7 with public intoxication. The Williamsburg Police arrested Winter June 7 about 9:33 p.m. on a public sidewalk in the 300 block of Willison Street in Williamsburg.
According to a report filed with the court, Winter was swaying, had watery eyes, smelled of alcohol and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.250%.
Luke Stephen McDaid, 26, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia June 8. A home address was not given, but McDaid’s driver’s license was issued in New York, according to a report filed by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department.
In a casual encounter with McDaid June 8 at 1:31 p.m. at the Kum & Go, 2177 M Ave. in Williamsburg, a deputy smelled marijuana. According to the report filed with the court, the deputy found substances that tested positive for THC.
McDaid pleaded not guilty. A non-jury trial is set for Nov. 4 at 9:30 a.m.
McDaid was also charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, and possession of a controlled substance, first offense. He was released on $1,000 bond.
Dustin Leon Landuyt, 31, of Marengo, was charged June 10 with disorderly conduct. According to a report by Marengo police, Landuyt hit Fred Miller Jr. while in a verbal argument with him June 10 about 5:15 p.m. at Iowa Highway 212 and Miller Street.
Landuyt pleaded guilty June 11.
Edward Peyton Frick, 28, of Minneapolis, was charged June 17 with possession of drug paraphernalia. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department stopped Frick on Iowa Highway 21 north about 1:30 a.m. June 17.
During a traffic stop, a deputy smelled marijuana in Frick’s vehicle and found marijuana and wax, a vape pen and other items, according to a report filed with the court.
Frick pleaded not guilty. A non-jury trial is set for Nov. 4 at 9:30 a.m.
Frick was also charged with possession of marijuana, first offense.
