In Iowa County District Court

Vincent Charles Thede was charged Sept. 25 in Iowa County District Court for theft in the third degree. Marengo police say that Thede, 55, of Marengo, took items valued at less than $750 from Dollar General in Marengo about 9:26 p.m. Sept. 27.

According to police, Thede was convicted of theft in the fourth degree in Benton County in 1999 and of theft in the third degree in Iowa County in 2023.

Jessie Patrick Chandler, 47, of Williamsburg, was charged Sept. 29 with possession of a controlled substance, second offense. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department alleges that Chandler knowing possessed methamphetamine when he was stopped at mile marker 218 on Interstate 80 about 8:37 a.m. July 7.

Chandler was previously convicted on drug-related charges in 2006.

Jonas Bozo Ilonga, 38, of Cedar Rapids, was charged Sept. 29, with driving without a valid license. Ilonga was stopped by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department about 11:33 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 1100 block of W Ave.

Angela Kay Harriman, 43, of Ladora, was charged Oct. 1 with driving without a valid license. Karriman was stopped by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department about 4:27 p.m. Sept. 30 on P Ave.

On Sept. 25, Ryan Matthew Fennern, 37, of Amana, was charged in Iowa County District Court with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was arrested by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department about 9:26 p.m. Sept. 24 in the 2400 block of 220th Trail in Amana.

Mason Ryan Cousins, 18, of Aurora, Illinois, was charged Sept. 27 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, and possession of marijuana, first offense.

Cousins was stopped about 7:24 p.m. Sept. 26 by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department on the westbound exit of Interstate 80, mile marker 211. Cousins was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for the same incident.

Hunter Joseph Pidima, 26, of Ladora, was charged Sept. 29 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first offense. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department arrested Pidima about 6:52 p.m. Sept. 28 at Lake Iowa Park, 2550 G Ave. in Ladora.

Wesley Allen Berstler, 36, of Marengo, was charged Oct. 1 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, third or subsequent offense. Marengo Police arrested Berstler about 11:48 p.m. Sept. 30 in on Western Avenue.

Berstler has been convicted or received a deferred judgment twice before in Iowa County, once on 2010 and once in 2022.

Jerrico Christian Kopet, 34, of Marengo, was charged Sept. 30 for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kopet was arrested about 6:40 p.m. Sept. 30 on U.S. Highway 6 East by Marengo police.
