MARENGO — Trevor Dean Clemens, 26, of Blairstown was charged Nov. 20 in Iowa County District Court with driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance, second offense, and possession of marijuana, first offense.
An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped to make casual conversation with Clemens when he stopped near 410 Second St. in Victor about 10 p.m. Nov. 19, according to a report filed with the court.
Clemens admitted that he had no valid driver’s license, the report says.
The deputy found marijuana vapes in Clemen’s pockets and found two glass pipes in the truck Clemens was driving. The pipes tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.
Clemens has a prior conviction for possession of meth in Iowa County from March 2022. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Clemens was charged Nov. 26 with driving while barred and possession of a controlled substance, second offense.
The Iowa State Patrol stopped Clemens about 1:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at mile marker 207 on Interstate 80 for having unreadable plates on the Dodge Avenger he was driving; the plates were covered with mud and gravel dust, according to the report filed with the court.
Clemens had no valid license and had a baggie of meth in his sock, according to the report.
Eric Robert Buh, 41, of Amana, was charged Dec. 2 with domestic assault, having a weapon during a domestic assault and child endangerment.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department took Buh into custody following a physical altercation between Buh and his wife at 716 46th Ave. in Amana about 11 p.m. Nov. 26, according to a document filed with the court.
Buh allegedly kicked and struck his wife with a closed fist and produced a 45-caliber semi-automatic pistol during the altercation, according the report by the Sheriff’s Office. Buh said he showed the gun to scare his wife, the report says.
Their four-year-old child witnessed the altercation.
When confronted by law enforcement, Buh would not show his hands, the criminal complaint says. Law enforcement used a TASER on him. Buh would still not obey instructions from law enforcement and was wrestled to the ground where he continued to resist.
A no contact order was issued Nov. 27.
Buh was also charged with interference with official acts.
Jason Adam Crawford, 47, of Amana, was charged Dec. 1 with parole violation. Court documents allege that Crawford used cocaine and THC and was charged with theft in the first degree, violating his parole.
Crawford was charged Nov. 25 with theft in the first degree and theft in the first against an older individual, both class C felonies.
According to a report filed by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, Crawford accessed a bank account that did not belong to him without permission several times between December 2024 and August 2025. The criminal complaint filed with the court says Crawford made more than two dozen ATM withdrawals on the account as is shown in surveillance video.
A no contact order with the victim was issued Nov. 25. Crawford was released on a $10,000 cash bond.
Navarre Edward Sissel, 27, of Marengo, was charged Nov. 26 with unlawful possession of a prescription drug and possession of a controlled substance, first offense.
Marengo police arrested Sissel on an Iowa County arrant for harassment in the third degree about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 25, according to a criminal complaint filed with the court.
Sissel asked to take his medication with him to the jail.
According to court documents, jail staff inventoried the four pill bottles with Sissel’s name on them and found that two were supposed to contain hydroxyzine but actually contained clonazepam.
Sissel had no proof that he had a prescription for clonazepam, a controlled substance, the court report said.
Sissel was charged Nov. 21 with harassment in the third degree after Marengo police allege he sent an “abnormal” message to Kensey Gulick which disturbed Gulick, according to a report filed with the court.
Both worked at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo, though Sissel was dismissed Aug. 5, the report said.
Sissel pleaded not guilty. A non-jury trial is set for Jan. 20 at 9:30 a.m.
A no contact order was issued Nov. 26.
William Raymond Jasper, 67, of Amana, was charged Nov. 28 with driving while his license is denied, suspended, canceled or revoked.
The Iowa State Patrol stopped Jasper about 10:55 Nov. 26 on the I-80 east ramp to Iowa Highway 149, according to court documents.
Leigh Ann Davis, 57, of Marion, was charged Nov. 21 with operating while under the influence, first offense. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department arrested Davis about 6:47 p.m. Nov. 20 in the 1500 Block of Highway 6 Trail, according to the criminal compliant filed with the court.
The document says that Davis’ blood alcohol content was 0.239% and that open containers of Fireball whiskey were found in the vehicle she was driving.
Davis was also charged with having an open container in a vehicle.
