MARENGO — Edward Skip Fults, 53, of Williamsburg, was charged Oct. 28 in Iowa County District Court with assault on a person in law enforcement or health care causing bodily injury and with assault causing bodily injury.
Fults is accused of assaulting Paul Fitzpatrick and George Murray on Van Drive in Williamsburg Oct. 27 at about 7:45 p.m. A warrant was issued Oct. 29, and Fults was arrested Oct. 30 about 4 p.m. by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department.
Fults posted $2,000 bond.
Stephanie Marie Stevenson, 43, of Oskaloosa, was charged Oct. 30 with forgery for an incident that occurred at 2383 Raider Rd. in Williamsburg about 6 p.m. Oct. 20. Williamsburg police investigated the incident.
Rugoheza Kahihimo, 60, of Cedar Rapids, was charged Oct. 23 with failure to stop in an assured clear distance. Kahihimo was cited by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office about 6:29 a.m. Oct. 23 on eastbound Iowa 220.
Bret Michael Doud, 26, of Ottumwa, was charged Oct. 27 with driving while his license is suspended, denied, canceled or revoked. Doud was arrested about 6:24 a.m. Oct. 25 by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department at mile marker 213 in the westbound lane of Interstate 80.
Michael DeShawn Kelsey, 25, of Cedar Rapids, was charged Oct. 27 with driving while his license is suspended, denied, canceled or revoked. He was stopped by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office about 8:40 a.m. Oct. 25 at Highway 6 and 42nd Avenue in Homestead.
Georgia Marie Wetjen, 45, of Iowa City, was charged Oct. 27 with driving while her license is suspended, denied, canceled or revoked. Marengo police stopped Wetjen about 8:15 p.m. Oct. 27 on Adams Street.
On Oct. 28, Santiago Mireles Espinoza, 50, of Mission, Texas, was charged in Iowa County District Court with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, first offense. Espinoza was arrested by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office Oct. 27 at 8:10 p.m. at 2363 M Avenue in Williamsburg.
Ashley Lynn Allen, 38, of Marengo, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and interference with official acts causing bodily injury.
Allen was arrested by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office Oct. 28 about 5:35 p.m. at 2469 110th St. in Marengo. She is accused of being in possession of methamphetamine and obstructing Iowa County Deputy Jared Douglas in the performance of his duties.
