Iowa County Food Bank receives $10,000 grant from Bayer Fund

The Iowa County Food Bank announced today it received a grant for $10,000.00 from Bayer Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer in the U.S. In line with Bayer Fund’s mission, this grant will be used toward building a better future by expanding the services of the Iowa County Food Bank.

“The demand for the Iowa County Food Bank has risen greatly due to inflation,” said Paula Watkins, Chair Iowa County Food Bank. This money will allow us to help Iowa County residents with food insecurity and we are grateful for Bayer Fund for its support.”

In our desire to see the communities we serve flourish, and this grant from Bayer Fund will support our organization by allowing us to increase the number of times per year Iowa County residents may use the Iowa County Food Bank. This grant allows us to provide additional perishable foods to each client.

As a philanthropic arm of Bayer in the U.S., Bayer Fund pursues the company’s vision of “health for all, hunger for none” by working with organizations and nonprofits, like Iowa County Food Bank, to strengthen the country’s agricultural communities.
