Iowa in the Movies
NORTH ENGLISH -- Visitors to English Valleys History Center can reminisce next month about iconic films that have Iowa connections with a presentation by Scott and Bonnie Romine.
Based on “The Book of Iowa Films” by Marty Knepper and John Lawrence from Morningside College in Sioux City, the program will briefly touch on a few of more than 400 films that are discussed in this book, each one with a clear connection with the state of Iowa
The Romines, of North English, are former high school English teachers who have enjoyed movies for years. They’ll present the program Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m. at English Valley’s History Center, 108 N. Main in North English.
