Iowa Republicans set locations for caucuses

Iowa Republicans will caucus at 7 p.m. Jan. 15, the party organization announced this month. Because caucuses are run by political parties rather than by county governments, caucus precinct locations may not be the same as voting locations.

Iowa Republicans can find their caucus locations at the Iowa Secretary of State’s website, sos.iowa.gov or at the Iowa Republican Party’s website at iowagop.org/2024_caucus_locations. Caucus goers should check the website before caucus night for any location changes, the Party said.

In order to caucus for the GOP presidential nomination, Iowans must be registered Republican voters. Iowans not registered to vote or not affiliated with the Republican Party may register on caucus night by bringing a valid form of identification and proof of residence, such as a utility bill, paycheck or property tax statement.

People who are registered Republicans do not have to bring proof of residence but must provide voter ID to participate. Valid identification documents include an Iowa driver’s license, state non-operator ID, U.S. Passport, military or veteran identification, Iowa Voter Identification Card and Tribal ID card or document.
