Iowa Valley musicians shine at small group contest

Small group contest was held April 15 at Colo-Nesco High School. Iowa Valley students received the following honors:

Division I Ensembles

Flute Duet: Kena Purk Nesse Tuttle

Mixed Ensemble: Sahara Kanke, Hannah Smolik, Lydia Kriegel, Ella Read, Kylie Loffer, Grace Schlak, David Thomas, Beau Long.

Mixed Ensemble: Hailey Dietze, Michaela Schachtlie, Hannah Smolik, Kena Purk, Chane Hora, David Thomas.

Division I Vocal Soloist

Kayalyn Shelton, Kena Purk, Michaela Schachtlie, Ella Read, Hannah Smolik, Sahara Kanke.

Division II Soloist

Kena Purk Flute Solo, Owen Carden Saxophone Solo, Tate Peach Tuba Solo, Michele Welty Vocal Solo, Aniah Morse Vocal Solo.
