ITAC’s summer bluegrass concerts move to Koru Berry Farm

The Iowa Theatre Artists Company (ITAC) will produce the second annual “Bluegrass — Under The Summer Sky” in the Amana Colonies. The event will move to the Koru Berry Farm in rural Homestead on five consecutive Sunday late afternoons, July 9 — Aug. 6.
The popular event from last year will once again offer a free concert with professional eastern Iowa bands, a farmers market and picnic meal. The concert is free to attend and is family-friendly entertainment. Featured bands include The Anderegg Family, Straightback Chair, Riverbottom Ramblers, Castle Ridge, The Splinters, Burlington Street Bluegrass Band, The Great Bluegrass Herons and Banjoy.
The Koru Berry Farm and Special Event venue is located at 1685 U Ave., Homestead.
The Iowa Theatre Artists Company is a small, professional nonprofit theater company dedicated to supporting theatrical and musical performers of Eastern Iowa and bringing entertainment to rural audiences.
The summer schedule includes:
July 9 — The Anderegg Family
July 16 — Straightback Chair / Riverbottom Ramblers
July 23 — Castle Ridge / The Splinters
July 30 — Burlington Street Bluegrass Band
Aug. 6 — The Great Bluegrass Herons / Banjoy
The farmers market runs from 4 to 7 p.m. with a picnic meal served from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Music is from 5 to 7 p.m. for single concerts, and 4:30 to 5:45 and 6 to 7:15 for twin concerts.
