GRINNELL — According to Workforce Iowa, JELD-WEN Inc, a North Carolina Company, will close its window line at the plant at 911 Industrical Ave. in Grinnell. The March 21 closure will affect 298 employees.
Door manufacturing will continue, according to media reports.
According to the company website, JELD-WEN is a leading global designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-performance interior and exterior doors, windows and related building products.
Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., the company operates facilities in 16 countries in North America and Europe and employs approximately 18,000 people, it says.
