Joe DePietro comedy comes to Amana

AMANA — A heart-warming comedy about family, faith, food and the pursuit of the Italian American dream is coming to The Amana Performing Arts Center.
TKM Theatrical Productions presents “Over the River and Through the Woods,” a play by Joe DePietro, Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 30 at 3 p.m. at the Amana Performing Arts Center, 39 38th Avenue, Amana.
The show tells the story of Nick, a single Italian American from New Jersey whose retired parents have moved to Florida, according to a press release from TKM.
Nick’s grandparents still live in Jersey, and he sees them every Sunday for dinner.
When Nick is offered his dream job in Seattle, his grandparents scheme to keep him home.
Adam Burnham plays Nick, and Tom Milligan, Meg Merckens, David Morton and Marty Norton are his grandparents. Claire Boston rounds out the cast.
The show is directed by Cherryl Moon Thomason. Ron Gilbert serves as stage manager and assistant director.
