Kirkwood announces classes for children

WILLIAMSBURG — Iowa County Kirkwood will host Cookies and Canvas Thursday, Feb. 8 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 200 West St. in Williamsburg.

The class is designed for school-age students with parents or other adults. Participants will paint gnomes on canvas.

The cost is $40. Call 319-668-2461 to register.

On Saturday, March 2, Iowa County Kirkwood will conduct moped rider education from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at 200 West St. in Williamsburg.

Participants must be at least 13 years old and each should bring a sack lunch.

Register for the class at Kirkwood.edu under continuing education or call 319-668-2461. The cost is $55. Space is limited.

Also March 2, Iowa County Kirkwood will conduct a babysitting clinic for children at least 10 years old.

The class will teach first aid and safety, choking prevention, diaper changing and kid-friendly recipes and games.

Each participant should bring a doll or teddy bear for diaper changing as well as a sack lunch.
