Kirkwood, IowaWORKS offer career consultants in Iowa County

WILLIAMSBURG — Kirkwood Community College and IowaWORKS are partnering to make career consultants available to the people of Iowa County to help them with their career and training goals. Members of the public will be able to take advantage of walk-in appointments on select dates over the next few months.

Those seeking career advice will be able to sit down with an expert to discuss effective strategies for getting a good job. The career consultants will have useful information about in-demand careers, job training services and the support programs that are available to help make a career transition possible.

In addition, those that stop by will be able to learn about IowaWORKS and other partner services that are available to aid in the job search process. Job seekers will also be able to find out about in-demand careers, which employers are hiring and why now might be the best time to pursue a training certificate or college degree.

Career consultants will be at the Kirkwood Iowa County Center in Williamsburg from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following dates: April 11, May 9 and June 13.
