Kirkwood to host Iowa County Leadership Council Meeting

WILLIAMSBURG — Kirkwood Community College will host the first meeting of the institution’s Iowa County Leadership Council Sept. 25, from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Kirkwood Iowa County Center in Williamsburg.

Kirkwood President Kristie Fisher, college officials, local community leaders and members of the general public are all expected to be in attendance.

The County Leadership Council aims to bring key stakeholders together for a discussion about how Kirkwood’s resources are utilized in their community. Topics will relate to the college's work throughout Iowa County including workforce development, current trends, college statistics, common areas of interest, new opportunities and economic impact among others.

College leaders want to hear from attendees about how Kirkwood can help address the pressing education, training and workforce needs of Iowa County.

The college plans to hold two County Leadership Council meetings per year in the fall and spring.
