Kittens join yoga class

GRINNELL — On June 20, the Paul W. Ahrens Fitness Center hosted Kitten Yoga, a fundraiser for Poweshiek Animal League Shelter, a no-kill animal shelter located south of Grinnell.

During the event, 27 people participated in a regular yoga class surrounded by feline friends. Afterward, they had the opportunity to adopt a kitten. In total, $540 was raised.

PALS’ mission is to provide care, shelter and permanent placement for companion animals. They provide a safe haven and veterinary care to homeless cats and dogs and match them with individuals and families who benefit from the companionship.
