CEDAR FALLS — The Iowa girls’ state golf tournament concluded its play in all four classes late Friday afternoon.
Due to a long morning weather delay the last of the four classes to finish was the Class 3A meet at the Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls.
The Williamsburg girls’ golf team, or as some might say, Lady Raider Nation Golf, concluded its season with a T7 team finish with a score of 718.
The Raiders went into day two tenth in the team scores and battled their way to moving up a few spots on the final leaderboard.
Gilbert won the 3A title clearing the rest of the field by 43 strokes.
The top finisher for the Raiders was Jaisel Bott, sr., who finished 17th place with a score of 165 in 36 holes of play.
The Raiders season was highlighted by second place finishes at the WaMaC super meet (Gardner Golf Course) and the Class 3A regional meet (Edmundson Golf Course).
