Learn the magic of cookie decorating

DES MOINES -- Take in the magic of Christmas cookie decorating with Gloria Olson of Glorious Desserts this weekend in The Kitchen on the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

Learn decorating skills and legendary tricks for using royal frosting.

Two class times are available for the Dec. 10 classes in the Maytag Family Theaters on the Iowa State Fairgrounds, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Classes are limited to 30 participants.

Cost to register is $65, and registration includes one dozen cookies of various shapes and sizes, pre-filled icing bags and sprinkles.

Participants will decorate six cookies during the class and take home the remaining cookies to decorate.

Both classes are beginner level. Adults and children over 12 are welcome to attend.

Participants may bring additional sprinkles for decorating.

Each class will be about 90 minutes long.
