Local businesses donate water for concessions

MARENGO — Four local businesses donated 1,800 bottles of water to Iowa Valley High School for its concession stands.
The idea came from Bowen Yoder of Powell Funeral Homes, who has previously donated water to other schools. Inspired by this generosity, Iowa Elite Marketing Group, Bear Creek Design Studio and Brewed + Bronzed Boutique agreed to join Powell Funeral Homes to do the same for Iowa Valley schools in Marengo.
The businesses loved the idea of not only marketing their services but also giving back to the school, according to a press release from the businesses.
Iowa Valley will keep all proceeds from the water sales and use the funds however they see fit.
