Marengo American Legion breaks ground for new hall

The Marengo American Legion held a groundbreaking ceremony the morning of March 25 to kick off construction of the new Legion hall, located at the north end of Court Avenue near Gateway Park in Marengo. The building will have a paved parking lot, a drive-up window for dinners and wheelchair access. Compass Memorial has purchased the old Legion Hall, near the hospital, for expansion.
