Jestine Megchelsen, a junior at Dordt University majoring in agriculture and biology education, has earned the prestigious American FFA Degree.
A standout member of the Marengo FFA Chapter, Megchelsen has been deeply involved in agricultural leadership and service throughout her high school and college years, according to a press release.
Megchelsen’s accomplishments include earning the Iowa FFA Degree, winning 2nd place in the Diversified Horticulture Proficiency Award Program, serving as a chapter officer, performing in the State FFA talent show, ushering at the Iowa State Fair and actively participating in both state and county fair exhibitions.
Megchelsen has also competed in a range of career and leadership development events and was named a recipient of the DeKalb Agricultural Achievement Award.
