Marengo man dies in collision

MARENGO — A Marengo man died Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision at 2062 G. Ave. at 210th Street south of Ladora.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, William F. Myers, 52, of Marengo, was driving a 2009 Ford Escape southbound on 210th Street about 2:30 p.m. when he crossed the center line into the northbound lane on a curve.
The Myers vehicle collided with a 2021 Kenworth truck with a 2024 utility trailer driven by Russell W. Trimble, 65 of Marengo, that was northbound on G Avenue.
Myers was pronounced dead and transported by Powell Funeral Home.
No injuries were reported to Trimble. The vehicles were towed from the scene.
