MARENGO — A possible seizure caused a collision in Marengo just after noon Monday.
According to Marengo police, David Larson, 72, of Marengo, was traveling south in the 1000 block of Court Avenue in a 2023 Chevrolet pickup.
Jacob McLaughlin, 35, of North English, had just left a parking stall and began traveling north on Court Avenue in a 2023 GMC pickup.
Larson crossed the center line and struck McLaughlin’s truck.
Larson was incoherent, police said, and appeared to be suffering from a medical condition. He was transported to Compass Memorial Emergency Room by Iowa County Ambulance.
Larson appeared to have some type of seizure and experienced another episode while en route to the hospital, according to the official accident report.
McLaughlin complained of pain but was not transported.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $8,000.
