Medicare open enrollment begins Oct. 15
GRINNELL -- It is important for Iowans on Medicare to use the open enrollment period from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7 to review their prescription drug plan or Medicare Advantage plan for 2025, according to Poweshiek County Public Health.
Part D plans can change the drugs they cover, premiums, co-payments, coinsurance and preferred pharmacies every year.
Call 641-236-2588 and leave a message to request an appointment between Oct. 15 and Dec. 7 with a SHIIP-SMP counselor to explain prescription drug plan options.
Bring Medicare cards, prescription containers and current drug plan cards.
Poweshiek County SHIIP-SMP counselors are available year-round to answer questions.
