Montezuma sweeps titles at Knoll Ridge
Roth shoots even par at home triangular

BGM’s Aurelia Roudabush’s 46.6 nine-hole average ranked second in the South Iowa Cedar League Friday as another week of the golf season has come and gone.
HLV-TC’s Peyton Roth leads the SICL on the boys’ side with a 35.33 average, which ties for third in all of Class 1A.
Here is a look at a few area results from this week in golf:
HLV-TC Triangular
BROOKLYN — HLV-TC’s Peyton Roth continued his solid start to the season, shooting a 35 on the nine-hole par 35 at Brooklyn-Victor Country Club Monday. Roth was a medalist by four strokes.
Levi Molyneux tied for fourth with a 41. English Valleys’ Tyler Lortz also shot a 41.
As a team, the Warriors placed second, only five strokes behind the defending SICL champions, Sigourney.
On the girls’ side, English Valleys’ Kaylee Frazier tied for fourth with a 53. HLV-TC was led by a 55 from Ashlyn Rhinehart.
BGM Dual
BROOKLYN — The BGM boys won its dual over HLV-TC Tuesday at Brooklyn-Victor Country Club.
The Bears were led by Beckett Rhoads, who shot a 35. Ethan Bridgewater was right behind with a 36.
The girls’ dual in South Tama ended with a one-stroke victory for BGM, 195-196.
English Valleys Quad
NORTH ENGLISH — Montezuma’s Claire Erselius led the way to the Bravettes’ first-team placement in a SICL quad at Knoll Ridge Country Cub Tuesday.
Erselius shot a 51 and the Bravettes shot 242 as a team.
Freshman teammate Addilyn Ver Meer was fourth with a 55.
The Montezuma boys also won the team race with a score of 201, with Isaiah Wilson leading the way with a 46.
Bobcat Invite
VAN HORNE — The Williamsburg boys placed fourth out of eight team at Tara Hills Country Club Saturday in an 18-hole tournament with a team score of 328.
Robbie Allison led the Raiders, shooting a 74, on the par 72 course.
