More than 80 finish 5k, 10k

MARENGO — More than 80 runners finished Compass Memorial Healthcare’s 17th annual 5k-10k fun run last month.
Riley Schreder and Brandt Becker finished first in the women’s and men’s 10K run.
Becker posted a time of 48:45, and Schreder finished in 53:44.
While the 10K runners were taking a second lap around the course, the bulk of runners were finishing the 5K.
First place females were Bristol VanZuiden finishing in 41:09 in the 14-and-under category; Hannah Smolik, 15-19 years, with a time of 31:27; Paige Hester, 20-29 years, in 36:51; and Lexie Miller, 20-29 years, at 49:47.
Carrie Sayre, finished first of women 30-39, in 22:34; Amy Fleming, 40-49, in 26:56; Haylee Johnson, 40-49, 42 minutes; Jeni Schutlz, 50-59, 30:05; and Jan Kriegel, 60 years and over, 46:47.
Jaxen Stratton was the fastest child under the age of four. Margaret Fleming finished first among children 5-7 years of age, and Kathryn Fleming was first for children 8-10.
Fenix Stallmann had the fastest 5K time for boys 14 years old or younger. He finished the run in 24:13. In the 20-29 men’s race, Russell Atwood finished first in 21:07.
Troy Barker finished first in the 30-39 year division at 24:29. Jeremy Kriegel, first in the 40-49 division, finished in 22:06; Alan Becker, 50-59, finished in 27:29; Bill Hornett, 60 years and older, finished in 27:22.
