AMANA — TKM Theatrical Productions will present “The Odd Couple” by Neil Simon at the Amana Performing Arts Center, 39 38th Ave., Amana, in September.
This classic comedy opens on a friendly card game in the untidy apartment of divorced Oscar Madison, says a press release from TKM. And if the mess is any indication, it’s no wonder that his wife left him.
Late to arrive is Felix Ungar, who has just been separated from his wife. Fastidious, depressed and none too tense, Felix seems suicidal, but as the action unfolds, Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together.
The show opens Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Additional shows are set for Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m.
The performances are sponsored by Amana Family Practice Clinic. Tickets are $25. For group rates, call 319-899-3799.
