University of Dubuque releases dean's list
DUBUQUE — The University of Dubuque released the names of students who made the spring semester academic dean’s list.
Cassie Wolinsky of Kalona and Kyla Roberts of Ladora made the list.
Full-time students in good academic standing who earn a term grade-point average of 3.5 or above and who do not have any grades of incomplete for the term are named to the dean's list.
West nominated for 'More than I Imagined'
ROCK ISLAND — Augustana College senior Kara West, a psychology, Spanish and women, gender and sexuality studies triple major from Grinnell, was nominated to submit a 'More Than I Imagined' profile by Dr. Megan Lorenz, assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience.
Annually, faculty nominate Augustana's seniors who have achieved remarkable academic or personal growth to appear in the college's 'More Than I Imagined' series.
After graduation, West will attend the iDREAM Post-Baccalaureate research program at the University of Iowa, a two-year paid research experience. Through the program, she will take graduate-level courses as a guided transition into a doctoral research program.
Cedarville releases dean's list
CEDARVILLE — Sydney Yoder of Wellman, was named to the dean's honor list at Cedarville University. The recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 grade-point average or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
Vera Shegay of Almaty was also named to the dean’s list.
Armbrecht named to honors list
SEWARD, Neb. — Concordia University, Nebraska recently named 205 students to its honors list for the fall 2024 semester.
Lydia Armbrecht of Williamsburg was named to the list.
Students who earn a 3.90 grade-point average or higher while also completing at least 12 credit hours during the semester qualify.
Students named to Central's dean's list
PELLA — More than 390 students were named to the Central College dean's list for spring 2024.
The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade-point average or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.
From Grinnell, Brock Beck, Emory Clements, Cally Gibbs, Robert Groves, Landon Kirby, Cole McGriff, Eli Rose and Andrew Wilkins were recognized.
From Belle Plaine were Olivia Bohlen and Sheldon Coover were recognized.
Benjamin DeMeulenaere, from Chelsea, and Gabrielle Fye, of Brooklyn, were recognized.
Also on the list were Kassidi Steel from New Sharon; Austin Burns and Grant Stourac from Williamsburg; Katelyn Hofmaster of North English; and Grant Kruse of Oxford.
Landry Pacha from Wellman, Jaden Smith of Marengo and Lauryn Venema of Amana made the list.
