DECATUR, Ill. — Dane Edwards, of Grinnell, graduated with a Bachelor of Music in commercial music from Millikin University.

Edwards was one of more than 270 graduates recognized during the 2024 spring Commencement ceremonies at the Kirkland Fine Arts Center in May.

UW-Madison names graduates

MADISON, Wis. — A total of 8,586 students received degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May including two from Poweshiek and Iowa Counties.

Savannah Massman, of Grinnell, graduated from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciene with a Master of Science degree in plant breeding and plant genetics.

Caleb Cronbaugh, of Marengo, graduated from the College of Letters and Science with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian languages and cultures

U of I releases spring dean's list

IOWA CITY — More than 7,650 undergraduate students were named to the University of Iowa dean's list for the 2024 spring semester.

Among those on the list were Ruari Brownell, William Burkhead and Hannah Behrens, of Grinnell, and Mia Boulton, of Montezuma.

Grinnell student graduates from Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio — Shivani Gayatri Subramaniam, of Grinnell, was among more than 600 students to cross the stage at the Oberlin College and Conservatory 2024 Commencement ceremony in May.

Subramaniam graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies.
