DES MOINES, — The following local students have been named to the dean’s and president's lists at Drake University.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher; to be eligible for the president's list, students must have earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.

Erin Nicklas, of Grinnell, was named to the dean’s list, as were Aidan Quinlan, of Marengo, and Hannah Marsh, of North English.

Liv Poock, of Kalona, was named to the president’s list.

Washington University releases dean’s list

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Sam Chen, of Grinnell, was named to the dean's list at Washington University in St. Louis for the spring term.

Chen is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

To qualify for the dean's list in the College of Arts and Sciences, students must earn a semester grade-point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 14 graded units.

Wartburg College students receive diplomas

WAVERLY — Wartburg College awarded diplomas to 211 students during spring Commencement in May.

Alyssa Chyma, of Tama, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology.

Macy Harris, of Grinnell, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and business administration, and Laura Hovenga, also of Grinnell, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry.
