Upper Iowa releases dean’s list
FAYETTE — Upper Iowa University has released its dean’s list for the 2024 summer semester.
Deshaylea Pfannebecker, a business administration major from Belle Plaine, was named to the list as were Shelly Arp, of Williamsburg; Miranda de Regnier, of Marengo; and Brook Klouw, of Ladora.
To make the list, undergraduate, must have earned a minimum 3.50 grade-point average and be enrolled as a full-time student.
Students graduate University of Dubuque
DUBUQUE — The University of Dubuque announced the names of its summer graduates.
Among them were Emma Englehart, of Kalona, who graduated with a master’s degree in communication management, and Cassie Wolinsky, of Wellman, who graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Schlesselman named to president’s list
MANCHESTER — Logan Schlesselman, of Williamsburg, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s summer 2024 president’s list.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the president’s list.
Kirk named to dean’s list
MANCHESTER — Ashley Kirk, of Ainsworth, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s summer 2024 dean’s list.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the dean’s list.
Iowa PBS to host 1st Congressional District debate
Johnston — Iowa PBS will host Iowa Press Debates: 1st Congressional District Monday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. at Iowa PBS studios in Johnston.
Hosted by Iowa Press moderator Kay Henderson, candidates Christina Bohannan (D — Iowa City) and U.S. Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R — Davenport) will answer questions from reporters and discuss their platforms, concerns and future plans. Henderson will moderate the debate with two Iowa political reporters.
