Hats and More to meet

SIGOURNEY — Hats and More will meet at Toby’s Pizza on the north side of the square in Sigourney Friday, Oct. 13 at 11:15 a.m. Hosts will be Elaine Sorden and Linda Newberry.
The Amish Bakery on Highway 149 will be open that day.
The Iowa County Health Department will conduct a drive-through flu vaccine clinic Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. The shots are no cost to the client, the Health Department said. Medical insurance will be billed.
Residents should call 319-741-6422 to schedule a drive-through time.
STORM LAKE — Two Tama residents graduated Buena Vista University this summer.
Elke Davenport and Taylor Ray were among the 130 students receiving degrees.
FAYETTE — Poweshiek and Benton County students were named to the Upper Iowa University dean’s list for the 2023 summer semester.
Jacob Reineke, of Belle Plaine, and Lainey Davis, of Brooklyn, were honored.
To be named to the dean’s list, students must have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 and be enrolled as a full-time student.
