Mount Mercy lists 2025 graduates

CEDAR RAPIDS — Among the graduates of Mount Mercy University, in Cedar Rapids, were several from Iowa and Poweshiek Counties.

Avery Woodward, of Amana, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree, and Owen Coffman, of Grinnell, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Amelia Frimml, of Marengo, graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree, and Andrew McMenomy, of Williamsburg, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

U of I release president's list

IOWA CITY — More than 1,250 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the president's list for the 2025 spring semester.

Among them were Madox Doehrmann and Andrew Hawk, of Williamsburg; Macy Morrow, of Belle Plaine; April Phillips, of Parnell, and Phoebe Shetler, of Wellman.

Also Bridget Blanchard, of Grinnell; Mia Boulton, of Montezuma; Jasmin Ramos-Carrera, of Tama; and Adelynn Wijaya, of Semarang.

Marengo woman named to dean’s list

LINCOLN, Neb. — Caitlyn Riley Cronbaugh, of Marengo, has been named to the dean's list at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2024-25 academic year.

Cronbaugh, a junior majoring in forensic science, was named to the dean's list for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

Williamsburg woman named to University of Arkansas dean’s list

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Adeline Lillis of Williamsburg was named to the University of Arkansas dean's list for the 2025 Spring Semester.

To qualify for the dean’s list, undergraduates must achieve grade-point averages of 3.75 or higher during the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours.

Neeley earns degree from Central Methodist

FAYETTE, Mo. — Central Methodist University celebrated its spring commencement May 10 in Puckett Fieldhouse on the Fayette campus.

Among the graduates was Jessica Neeley, of Grinnell, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Area residents named Mount Mercy dean’s list

CEDAR RAPIDS — Several area students were named to Mount Mercy University's spring dean’s list.

Amana residents named to the list were Carsyn Gallagher, Trey Schulte and Avery Woodward; Mandy Chizek, of Belle Plaine was on the list, as was Olivia Renze, of Grinnell.

Breanna Shaull, of Hartwick; Molly Yoder, of Kalona; and Kallie Robison, of Malcom, were named to the list.

Also on the list were Stephanie Ballard, Amelia Frimml, Isabel Patterson, of Marengo, and Maryam Gangol, of Williamsburg.
