BROOKLYN — David Zollo and the Body Electric will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Brooklyn Opera House. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Jake Kemble and Kick will open the show. Smokin’ J’s food truck will be on-site before the concert.

WILLIAMSBURG — South Street Cookies will haunt Brickhouse Coffee Co. on the Williamsburg square Friday, Oct. 27 from 7 a.m. to noon with its spooky treats.
Customers can buy Halloween cookies, paint their own cookies or take home do-it-yourself cookie kits.
NORTH ENGLISH — English Valleys Community School District will host veterans for breakfast and a program Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 10. Breakfast will begin at 8:15 a.m. The program begins at 9 a.m.

MONTEZUMA — Don Brannian will present "An Army Veteran's Experience in Korea” during the Nov. 2 meeting of the Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society.
The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. in the lower level of the Carnegie library at 200 S. Third St. in Montezuma.
Refreshments will be served. A handicapped entrance can be found at the south side of the building. Everyone interested in this topic is welcome to attend.
MARENGO — Compass Memorial Healthcare’s operating revenue for fiscal year 2023 totaled $38,389,652, according to an audit report released by Eide Bailly LLP.
The report showed a 5.2% increase in revenue from the previous fiscal year. Total revenue included $37,575,417 in net patient service revenue, $1,135,510 in other operating revenue, a loss of $261,749 on disposal of right to use leased assets, and a loss of $59,526 on disposal of capital assets.
Operating expenses for the year totaled $36,060,606, a 9.2% increase from the prior year, and included $20,540,245 for salaries and employee benefits, $4,266,983 for professional fees and purchased services, $8,141,364 for supplies and other expenses, $190,837 for insurance and $2,921,177 for depreciation and amortization.
Net non-operating expense of negative $52,092 was comprised of $226,223 in investment income, $627,124 in interest expense, and $348,799 in non-capital grants and contributions. Capital grants and contributions totaled $370,786.
