Area students named to Iowa State president's list
AMES — The following area students were named to the president's list at Iowa State University for maintaining a 4.0 grade-point average for two consecutive semesters:

University of Dubuque releases dean’s list
DUBUQUE — The University of Dubuque has named the following area students to the fall 2025 semester dean's list:
Amana: Carsyn Gallagher
Ladora: Kyla Roberts
To qualify for the dean's list, full-time students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or above while completing 12 or more letter-grade credits for the term. Students must be in good academic standing with no incomplete grades.
Area students named to South Dakota State dean's list
BROOKINGS, S.D. — More than 4,100 students at South Dakota State University were named to the dean's list for the fall 2025 semester.
To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 credits and earn at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Overall, 4,147 students from 40 states and 31 countries are on the list.
The following area students made the list.

Local student on Bemidji dean’s list
BEMIDJI, Minn. — — Matthew Turley, of Grinnell, earned dean’s list honors from Bemidji State University for the fall 2025 semester.
To be eligible for the dean's list, BSU students must enroll in at least 12 credits and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester.
Grinnell Historical Museum to host Valentine's Day mystery event
GRINNELL — The Grinnell Historical Museum will host "Mystery at the Museum," an interactive detective event, from 3-5 p.m. Friday at 703 First Ave.
Participants will serve as detectives searching the museum for clues to solve a murder mystery. Attendees will receive a list of suspects and must gather evidence throughout the museum to identify the culprit.
The event is open to the public with no registration required. Tickets are $10 per person and will be sold at the door.

Area student named to Missouri S & T dean's list
ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri University of Science and Technology has named Preston Willett, of Victor, to the dean's list for the fall 2025 semester:
Willett is a senior in the mechanical engineering program.
To qualify for the dean's list, students must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a grade-point average of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale.
