NORTH ENGLISH — Women, men and children in more than 170 countries and regions will celebrate World Day of Prayer Friday, March 7. The ecumenical celebration is well-known throughout the world.
This year’s service in North English will be conducted by pastors and parishioners in the EV Interchurch Council and will be sponsored by the Christian Church of North English.
The service will be held at the English Valleys History Center, 108 N. Main St. in North English at 10:30 a.m. The focus will be on the women of Cook Islands in their call to worship with the words, “I made you wonderful.”
The program is based on Psalm 139:1-18 and is written by the women of the Cook Islands.
A salad luncheon will follow the service. Questions and reservations may be directed to Kay Grove at 319-667-2501.
