Plainsmen fall in regional semifinals

TRAER — The Belle Plaine volleyball made it farther than any other area team this volleyball season but fell Monday night to North Tama in the Class 1A Region 7 semifinal.
The two teams met previously, but the result was the same.
The fifth-ranked Redhawks swept the Plainsmen in three sets by scores of 25-7, 25-20 and 25-14.
The Plainsmen conclude their season at 17-14.
Four seniors started for the Plainsmen: Kyla Shaull, Denisyn Adams, Kayleah Laughlin and Layne McLeod.
